Why I Love Anger

an·ger (ăng'gər)
n.
A strong feeling of displeasure or hostility.

When I experience anger:

  1. Boundary's get drawn real fast

  • Uh-uh! That is not okay!

  • I do not like how this feels!

  • I do not like what this person is doing!

  • I do not like what I am doing!

    1. I have a fire inside of me to DO SOMETHING

  • I'm going to give them a peice of my mind!

  • I will not be ignored!

  • I have something to say!

    1. I am breaking with tradition.

  • Good girls do not call attention to themselves...

  • I want to rescue anger from the bin of "inappropriate emotions" and put it along side compassion as emotions of positive change.

Anger is a jumping off point for most people.

I want to honor my anger and hope it brings me clarity and fuel to act.

Anger is often the first step I take on my path to personal peace surrounding issues of social injustice.

I am currently experiencing what I've heard called "rage fatigue" where the synapses in my brain are all fired out. So currently I look to my disgust as nice kindling for my passions...
