Voice Unchained: Her Right to Choose

I’m starting this with a heavy heart and a burning hope.

There are countless stories that never reach the world. Stories of girls who simply loved. Girls who didn’t run away. Girls who didn’t dishonor. Girls who just chose and were punished for it.

One of those stories haunts me still.

Her name was Bano Bibi.

She said "Qubool hai"—and they killed her.

Why?

Because she chose love.

Because her "yes" wasn't what they wanted to hear.

This initiative—"Voice Unchained: Her Right to Choose" is my way of standing up.

For her.

For every girl who was silenced.

And for every girl who still lives in fear of loving out loud.

I want to create a space here on World Pulse where we tell the stories that society buries.

Where we talk about choice. About halal love. About dreams crushed and voices stolen.

You can share your own story.

You can write about someone you knew.

You can post anonymously if you’re afraid.

And if you're ready you can speak in our live voice sessions (details soon).

Let’s make these stories impossible to ignore.

Let’s write. Speak. Cry. Fight. Heal. Together.

If even one girl somewhere reads your words and chooses to live, not die, because of them—then this is worth everything.

With all my love and rage,

Sheeba Shoro

Writer. Listener. Dreamer. Fighter.
