Motherhood Care Support Initiative (MCI)

The Motherhood Care Support Initiative (MCI) is a community-driven program designed to enhance maternal and infant health through education, resource provision, and the creation of supportive networks for pregnant women. The initiative focuses on underserved rural and urban areas to bridge gaps in maternal healthcare.

The primary objectives of MCI are to mobilize and engage pregnant women for improved maternal care practices, educate them on prenatal and postnatal health through sensitization sessions and group discussions, distribute essential prenatal medications and postpartum kits to promote maternal and infant well-being, and create a supportive network for mothers to share experiences and knowledge on safe motherhood practices.

MCI targets pregnant women in underserved areas, aiming to reach 500 pregnant women by November 2025.The initiative covers key topics such as prenatal care, nutrition, safe delivery practices, postpartum recovery, and infant care.

The Motherhood Care Support Initiative is a vital step toward empowering pregnant women with the resources and knowledge for safe motherhood.
