Long Secluded Alley

Me and My Long-Secluded Alley

Lazy and lethargic I walked down the secluded alley,

Free from traffic and unburdened of noise,

Slowly and softly along with my brainwaves,

I caught my gaze at colourful yet secluded villas,

They seemed to like me and I like them but with a difference,

They were colorful, yet alone,

They were alone, but not empty,

However, mine was a different scenario,

I am alone as well empty.

I am empty but not colourful.

The semblance was that we both stood alone along the alley,

Alone, far-off and noise free, as if suffocating within,

Ah! Deep I sighed and wished to be profound,

Cozy and warm like the inside of these secluded villas,

Nay! I felt that is not my fate to be gratified and convivial,

Rather, I was like a protracted isolated alley,

Infinite and serpentine in nature,

Deep I sighed and boarded the bus with a heavy heart & forlorn.
