Story
Ladie arent you Excited? well I am excited about web 2.0's speed and accuracy. I CAN EASILY COLLABORATE AND SHARE MY VIEWS WITH FRIENDS I HAVE NEVER MET. I can network with people based on interests, profession, genderor just friendship. In terms of spped , the feedback is fast or instant and accuracy, feedback is first hand straight from the horse's mouth. I can engage in dialogue about the things that are important to me.
Most of all i can be a citizern journalist withot professional jpurnalism or tarinning, publishing and distributing my stories globally and read other people's stories too. I can have online global suporters by using social networking communities like Pulsewire which allows me to interact, expandmy leadership and get feedback on my ideas and projects.
These Tools bring about Global Women Empowerment, by giving women the abillity to speak out and air their views. Most women globally have been living behind closed walls where their voices are not heard within the communities they live in, but due to Web 2.0 the walls are broken. Through collaboration on online communities their stories are heard and action can be taken to correct the wrongs in our societies as the fight against Female circumcision in Sudan. It is through the courage of such women that more women are inspired to write more stories, therby changing the lives of millions.
It hurts to see that women are the labourers in our societies but more than 755 still have nothing they call their own. I Africa and parts of Asia women work the fields, while men do the easy jobs, but when they harvest, the yield belongs to the husband, Even in urban africa women have a better paycheque but when they serparate, the woman wakls out with only kitchen uternsils, even if 3/4 of the Mortgadge was hers.
Although there are stipulated laws against such gender violence African women don't concider them because they put their children first to serve a marriege.
These Tools are empowering me by enhancing my wisdom and understanding. I have aquired many ideas from networks like Linkidin, Pulsewire, Women Museam, Facebook and Google. I have researched on projects and received ideas from other women, who are carrying out different projrcts across the globe ,which could be viable in Zimbabwe. The best being Muringa tree, which i thought was indeginous to Africa, when it si from India knwn globally as "The Miracle Tree" because of itsa healing properties.
I appeal to al women globally to use Web 2.0 we have endured enough and this is the time endurence should stop!!!
