The mission of Andrace is to share knowledge and expertise to youths, especially girls, to harness study, as well as other advancement opportunities globally. The main purpose of the initiative is to empower youths, moreso the girl-child.
For the umpteenth time, Nigerian university students are out of school. Nigerian universities have been plagued by incessant strike actions as far back as I can remember. In 2011, I wrote an article in the Impact Magazine of the Association of African Universities (AAU) titled “Showcasing Nigeria’s Ivory Towers: The Boulder in the Way.” The article discussed the same issue hence disheartening that nothing has changed over a decade after. The youths in these universities are disenchanted with the situation and desire a leeway. However, the same system has deprived many of the soft skills required to take advantage of opportunities that would cost the average indigent youth almost nothing financially. Many of these students are resilient and have the intelligence quota to do well in other climes. So, would you blame the Nigerian youth for wanting a saner clime?
