🌟 I’m Pure 🌟
This is the message we want every girl to hear, believe, and carry with pride.
Last week, we had the immense privilege of hosting the premiere of IMPURE in Arusha, Tanzania - a powerful and deeply moving film that sheds light on the harsh realities of hashtag
#PeriodPoverty and the stigma surrounding menstruation.
Directed by the talented Rico Herre.
#IMPURE is inspired by the heartbreaking story of Jackline Chepng’eno, a 14-year-old girl whose life was tragically cut short after being humiliated for soiling her uniform at school. The film takes us into the life of June, a 12-year-old girl, as she experiences her first period without knowledge, support, or understanding of what’s happening to her.
Through sensitive storytelling, breathtaking cinematography, and heartfelt performances, IMPURE captures the isolation and shame so many girls face globally.
It’s not just a film - it’s a call to action, urging us to break the stigma and ensure menstrual health is a right, not a privilege.
The premiere was a celebration of collaboration, passion, and shared purpose.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to:
✨ Our sponsors, who made this incredible event possible
✨ Partners like @atoz.tanzania, who are helping create access to innovative menstrual solutions like Safepad in Tanzania.
✨ The talented film crew and directors, https://www.linkedin.com/in/ACoAAAhrC5IBzgnaisqAeghyov5gSKnP7elbnicRico Herre and team, for bringing this story to life
✨ And, of course, all the wonderful attendees who joined us in Arusha to experience this unforgettable film
Together, we are building a world where girls know their worth, their strength, and their purity—because I’m Pure is the truth every girl deserves to know.
If you haven’t seen IMPURE, do yourself a favor and listen to June’s story. This film isn’t just a must-watch; it’s a movement for change.
🌍 Let’s continue to challenge period stigma and advocate for menstrual health education for all.
