I didn’t set out to change the world—I simply saw a boy with eyes full of potential and a heart weighed down by despair. He was brilliant, curious, and determined, yet life had placed every obstacle in his way. With no family to support him and no resources to pursue his education, his future seemed all but written. I couldn’t shake the thought: how many other children like him were out there?

How many brilliant minds were being silenced by circumstances beyond their control? I decided then and there that his story wouldn’t end in despair. I had seen him as more than just a boy struggling to survive—I saw potential, hope, and a life worth fighting for. I couldn’t look away. So, I made a promise to him—a promise that no matter what, he would get an education.

But the story didn’t end there.

When I shared his journey with a friend, she was inspired to sponsor another child. That friend told another friend, who also stepped in to help another child. And just like that, a circle of kindness was born. One act of support became a chain reaction, transforming not just individual lives but entire communities.

That’s how Hold My Hands Organization was born—not from a grand plan, but from a single promise that grew into a movement of hope. 

As a woman leading this organization, I’ve learned that change doesn’t happen in isolation—it happens through connection, compassion, and investment. Women are at the heart of this change.
