Yes as a female author in India I really do face great amounts of unconcious bias. This may often be in the form of implicit bias. Many people in India have very backward mentailities and they believe that a woman is only good for cooking, cleaning and rearing children.
Wherever I go in India, I face the issue all the time. I even face it at home, because there are problems when I want to spare sometime for writing, but I am supposed to give my priority to other activities.
Also I face a similar situation when I need money, but the prioirty is given to other things. And my work suffers and I am unable to meet my goals adequately. Hence the final product suffers and leads to uncessary inconsistencies and delays that other wise could have been avoided. If not for the phenomenon of unconcious bias.
