CHANGE MAKER MODULE 2 , ESTABLISHING MY COMMUNITY

     A community is fundamental to any Advocacy project , it helps in many ways including , amplifying the message, enjoying more members to participate , put pressure to people in position of power to make change possible , create a powerful legacy .

The key to nurturing community is to establish stake holding, so that any one who joins my cause sees value in doing so and they are concerned about the problems as me .  I have managed to mobilize a team of five people and my focus is to naturing their engagement.

Our approach will start by identifying the root causes of market failure that excludes the refugee women from wage and self employment opportunities. We take time to understand business and government capabilities, individuals altitudes, economic and social relationships, power relations and institutions and the rules of social norms that influence behavior. We identify private companies and private institutions with the incent and ability to deliver change.

Working in partnership with public and private actors, we catalyse innovative market based solutions that have the potential to impact large numbers of refugee women. Our aim is to make market systems work better for our target group while demonstrating benefit to public and private actors that play a role in the systems to ensure local ownership and sustainability and continued improvement beyond the program period.
