Abuja Global Mentoring Walk

On the 4th of February, I contacted three friends and asked them if they'll be happy to be a part of the maiden Abuja Mentoring Walk. They all agreed, and we had our first planning meeting on the 8th of February 2025.

The second meeting held on Saturday the 15th of February where we had even more people in attendance. It was on that day that the decision to name the group of different people who got together to plan the GMW 2025 Voices in Motion.

Voices in Motion went ahead and met twice more after that, virtually, and the walk took place on Saturday 8th March 2025. Even though not everyone who registered turn up due to many reasons, the walk was a success. It was a memorable 2.6km walk around Eagle Square in the Central Business District of the Federal Capital Territory.

The legendary Aisha Yesufu was our star mentor of the day, alongside many other outstanding individuals who walked and mentored young people that attended the walk.

We also had the support of some media organisations as media partners.

2026 is going to be bigger and better.
