A plea for a sanitory towel

Schools had closed, of course campuses were giving their comrades a break. I was changing cities, from Kisumu city to the CBD, Nairobi. So I'm in the bus station and I hurried to reach to the place thinking that I was late only to find that the bus had not arrived. Since everything was done in a hurry I didn't find time to consume something and yet I was going on a 6-8hour travel. So I decide to fetch for something to eat. Immediately I step out of the booking office gate I meet a young girl. First thing that rings my mind is why she was not in school. I gave her a listening ear because she had excused herself nicely and she was well composed. The girl said and I quote, "I was requesting to be helped by a pad" and the moment I had none, I felt for her and instead of purchasing something to eat I purchased some sanitary towels. Deep down I felt for her and therefore I told myself that when schools reopen I would begin a pads-drive in schools around our campus. They say charity begins at home. And I felt like this was a motivation. This was a thing I had yearned to begin a long time ago but I had no motivation, nothing to push me to do so.
