Aqoon-Bile school afternoon classes for women

After Somali Government had collapsed in 1990 many public institutions including; schools, hospitals and factories were completely looted that caused one generation of the society to be ignorance about two decades.
The boys became mantelpiece for clan wars and the girls met malicious rape from merciless gangs.

Fortunately many free-handed men and women felt a bound duty to survive their brotherly somali children from the riots. They opened private hospitals, free of charge schools and sent appeals to Humantarian agencies to restore hopes of the youngsters. For example Aqoon-Bile school founders started afternoon classes for girls to teach them when they are free from houses work. Yopa reporter asked the School Headmaster why they sellect this shift for women to learn and he told the reporter ''Somali women rarely go to school instead they hold house duties such as cooking, cleaning, washing clouthes, baby caring etc''. ''Most Somali parents believe that boys are better than girls to learn and they do not send girls to school unless house duties finished and that is why we prefer to teach women in the afternoon'' he added.

Aqoon-Bile school founders initiated praise-worthy work for their sisters and mothers. God bless them.
